What is Club Clash?
Club Clash is an inter-club team format: two sides, each built from fixed teams, meet in a cross round-robin where every team plays every team on the other side once. Think of it as a club-vs-club showdown — your club against theirs — settled by total match wins rather than individual points.
- Club Clash is always a battle between exactly 2 sides, making it ideal for a club vs club fixture, a local derby or an inter-club team match.
- Each side is made up of fixed teams — singles or doubles — that stay together for the whole event, so it plays like a true squad-vs-squad contest.
- Every result counts toward your side's total, so the format rewards squad depth, not just one star team.
- The side that wins the most matches across the fixture grid takes the title.
Rules of Club Clash
These are the core Club Clash rules that turn any racquet sport into a club-vs-club battle between two squads:
- In Club Clash you compete as part of a side rather than as an individual, so every result counts toward your side's total.
- Each side is built from fixed teams of 1 or 2 players that stay together for the entire event — there is no partner rotation.
- Every win earns your side a point, and the points accumulate round by round across the fixture grid.
- A Club Clash is always played between exactly 2 sides, each entering the same number of teams: 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 10.
- Every team on one side plays every team on the other side once, in a cross round-robin between the two squads.
- When all matches are complete, the side with the most wins is declared the Club Clash winner.
How do you score in Club Clash?
Club Clash scoring is win-based: each cross matchup is played like a normal match in your sport, then every result is rolled up into the side standings so the squad with the most match wins is champion.
- Each match is played to the scoring you choose before the event: a points target, a time limit or classic games and sets.
- With a points target, every rally won gives one point to the winning team, and the serve rotates as it normally does in your sport.
- Win the match and your squad banks a point toward your side's running total.
- When a match ends, the organizer enters the result and it is added to that side's running total of wins.
- The side holding the most match wins once the grid is complete wins the Club Clash.
How to organize a Club Clash tournament?
To organize a Club Clash you need exactly two sides with the same number of teams, at least 4 each — so the smallest doubles Clash is 16 players split evenly across the two sides.
- In CourtTable, pick Club Clash and a team size, add both squads from your player directory and build the same number of fixed teams on each side.
- The number of courts you need depends on the team size — 2 players per court in singles and 4 in doubles — and each round has one match per team on a side.
- Run more courts in parallel to play multiple cross matchups at once and keep the fixture grid moving.
- A typical Club Clash runs for about 2 hours. You enter each score, CourtTable tallies the wins, and everyone follows the standings on the public page or the TV view at the venue.
